Our Story

More than a garden center — we're your neighbors who love plants

Bethlehem Gardens by Ruby started with a simple passion: helping people fall in love with plants. What began as a small collection of houseplants has grown into Dalton's go-to garden destination — and it's all thanks to the community that's supported us along the way.

We're not a big-box store. Here, you'll get real answers from real people who know the difference between a peace lily and a pothos, who can tell you which succulent survives a black thumb, and who genuinely celebrate your green wins. Every plant on our shelves is hand-selected and cared for before it reaches you.

From your first pothos to your full landscape overhaul — we've got the plants, the supplies, and the know-how.

Houseplants

Tropicals, succulents, ferns, and everything in between. Whether your space is bright and sunny or low-light cozy, we'll help you find the perfect companion for your home.

Outdoor Plants

Annuals, perennials, shrubs, and flowering plants that thrive in North Georgia's climate. Seasonal rotations keep our outdoor display fresh and exciting year-round.

Garden Decor

Planters, garden statues, wind chimes, outdoor lighting, and decorative accents that turn a ordinary yard into a personal sanctuary.

Soil & Fertilizers

Premium potting mixes, garden soil, mulch, and fertilizers for every plant type. We'll help you pick the right blend so your plants have the foundation they need.

Pots & Planters

Ceramic, terracotta, plastic, and handcrafted pots in every size and style. Find the perfect vessel to showcase your plants — or pair a new pot with a plant from our floor.

Garden Advice

Stuck on why your fern is browning? Not sure what blooms in shade? Bring your questions — we love helping gardeners of every skill level troubleshoot and succeed.

Why Choose Us

The difference is in the details — and the dirt

We're not the biggest garden center in town, but we're the one where every customer matters. Here's what makes us different.

Cared For, Not Just Sold

Every plant is watered, checked, and nurtured before it reaches the sales floor. We wouldn't sell anything we wouldn't keep.

Real People, Real Answers

No scripts, no pushy sales — just honest advice from folks who actually grow and care for these plants every day.

Right Plants for Right Places

We stock plants suited to Dalton's climate and your specific conditions — so you're set up for success from the start.

A Welcoming Space

Whether you're a seasoned gardener or just buying your first plant, you'll feel comfortable browsing and asking questions here.

Kind Words

What our neighbors are saying

"I walked in looking for one plant and walked out with three, a pot, and a whole new hobby. The team here made me feel like I knew what I was doing — even though I've killed every plant I've ever owned."

"This place is a gem. Small, cozy, and full of character. I bring out-of-town friends here because it's the kind of shop you don't find everywhere — where someone actually cares whether your monstera is happy."
